Trying to find the right words….
This is a cute, horrifying read.
Yup, that’s it.
Neil Gaiman’s Coraline is a dark children’s book about a lonely little girl who finds a secret door in her family’s new house. She begs her mother for the key and once opened they find that the door had been sealed up with bricks.
Despite warnings from her neighbors, Coraline decides to unlock the door when she is home alone. She discovers that the brick layer is now gone. She goes in the passage and finds … well… you should read it.
And it is only 163 pages, so a great kick-start to your gothic reading list for October.
